Our IP intercoms are now fully supported by LenelS2™ OnGuard® Version 8.1 and the recently released Version 8.2

Great news for LenelS2™ OnGuard® customers looking for advanced IP intercoms! Our membership in the OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP) designates us as an official certified interfaced partner of the LenelS2™ OnGuard® access control system – and 2N intercoms are now supported by the latest versions of the system, too.

Enjoy all the great features of the latest LenelS2™ OnGuard® releases plus everything 2N IP Intercoms have to offer!

This official certification under the OAAP program means 2N IP intercoms can be directly interfaced into the open and versatile security platform LenelS2™ OnGuard® as IP endpoint devices without the need for a dedicated intercom server. The interface will allow you to put door access control management within same eco-system as other security elements such as alarms, audio and video events.

This great interface also offers LenelS2 customers a versatile and advanced intercom solution: our portfolio includes intercoms suitable for a vast range of use cases such as demanding industrial environments, government buildings, entrances to office complexes, and multi-tenancy projects. They also come with a range of modern features such as Full HD cameras, mobile access, and touch displays that can display business directories, and more!

What features does the interface offer?

Call Management: Operators can initiate or terminate calls directly through the OnGuard system interface, allowing the intercom to contact the main desk phone or another intercom.

Device Monitoring: Connected IP intercoms are under continuous surveillance, ensuring operators can promptly identify any connection failures. Comprehensive records of intercom calls, remote door-opening requests, and audio tests conducted are easily accessible through the OnGuard Access or OnGuard Monitor alarm monitoring applications.

Events and Actions: The intercom can serve as a trigger for various actions within the OnGuard system. For example, an incoming call can trigger video recording or initiate the opening of a door via DTMF, seamlessly linking intercoms with video management systems, access control systems, or fire alarm systems.

What Are the Benefits of a Unified Security System?

Leveraging IP technology means that you can incorporate intercoms with advanced features into your security infrastructure. Operators gain the ability to monitor and respond to building activities, commencing from the front door or other entry points, with speed, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Effective Emergency Response

Unifying a security surveillance and access control system with an emergency intercom (such as the 2N® IP Force or 2N® IP Safety) gives operators better management of emergency calls. They can view live video from the scene via the intercom’s camera whilst responding to incidents and take informed action to address the situation.

  •  Better Security

Managing door control in the same interface as security also makes buildings more secure. Operators can grant or deny access to secured rooms and entrances using clear video communication – an advantage of using an IP intercom such as the 2N® IP Verso 2.0, which features a Full HD camera. What’s more, the security is enhanced by the ability to replay prior calls – great for reviewing past incidents.

  • More Efficiency

A common issue with most organisations is lost RFID cards – and unifying the security system with the intercom system streamlines the process of letting employees in when they’ve lost their cards. Connecting the IP intercom to access-controlled doors allows operators to receive incoming calls, verify the caller's identity through real-time video and cross-reference this with their cardholder profile to promptly provide access from a unified security application.

  • Control Garage Entrances

Use our intercoms to control the entrances to garages! The 2N® IP Force is a good fit again since it’s our most durable intercom and is capable of supporting license plate reading for seamless entry. Also, thanks to this integration offering a unified security system, security staff can respond quickly to assistance requests and then manually open the gates – all from the same interface.
