5 Things You Might Not Know about Our New 2.20 Firmware

You may have noticed that we launched a new firmware for the 2N Helios IP product family recently. It comes with many enhancements, fixes bugs and introduces several new features. If you own 2N® Helios IP Verso, 2N® Helios IP Vario or 2N® Helios IP Force, make sure to update your products to further protect your property with these many useful changes:

  • The 2N® Helios IP Verso display now plays a video over several tens of seconds. This is a default setting that requires no further purchases. If you have this intercom at your door, you can now introduce yourself to visitors using a short video.
  • The 2N® Helios IP Verso display saves energy. When the intercom is not active, its backlight dims. This is both a more environmentally-friendly solution, but safer as well, because a backlit display sometimes attracts undesired attention at night. The display is reactivated as soon as a visitor approaches.
  • No longer manually add new users to the display settings of the 2N® Helios IP Verso. All you need to enter is their name and phone number to automatically list them on the display.
  • 2N IP intercoms are now compatible with Cisco CUCM solutions for a switchboard backup. There is now no chance intercoms may fail to function in case of problems with the switchboard. They automatically re-register to a backup switchboard and revert once the problem is remedied.
  • New enhancement of the protective switch increases your safety. If someone intends to break into your premises and forces open the access unit, it not only triggers the alarm, but the lock remains locked for 30 minutes, preventing the unauthorised from entering the building.
