Typical connection for enterprise use:

A company has a SIP based IP PBX but does not have any free port to PSTN which is needed. There is also needed cheap access to GSM networks. The company gets a 2N® StarGate (32 channel VoIP PRI GSM Gateway) with a VoIP card. The 2N® StarGate GSM Gateway is connected through IP to the IP PBX, through PRI to the PSTN and through GSM modules to GSM. IP PBX sends mixed traffic (except of international calls) to 2N® StarGate. Thanks to the powerful LCR (Least Cost Router) all calls are routed in the cheapest possible way either to PSTN or to GSM networks.
Connected through the Ethernet port to the company LAN, all LAN users can send and receive SMSes.

A typical connection for termination of international traffic:

A newly established company wants to start termination of international traffic in a country. The intention is to terminate the traffic to PSTN and GSM networks. As the company is newly established, it does not have any infrastructure. Besides other important things such as finding a suitable installation site, getting SIM cards and paying for a reliable broad band connection,
2N® StarGate unit (32 channel PRI GSM VoIP gateway) is being installed. The gateway is connected to the IP through a VoIP interface, to the GSM through 30 GSM channels and ot the PSTN through PRI interface. Thanks to the LCR (Least Cost Router) all the least cost routing is done in 2N® StarGate.
