The use of 2N® Ping-Pong is the easiest way how to
increase the number of your telephones, which
are connected to one telephone line. It is the
easiest substitute for a PBX system, ideal for
home or office usage.
Description:
The device enables to connect two/three telephones to one telephone line and at the same time prevents mutual tapping. When the first telephone is in use, others are disconnected, until the first one hangs up. The device enables to transfer a phone call from one telephone apparatus to the other one.
Incoming call:
When there is an incoming call, all telephones are ringing. A conversation can be started using a telephone that was hung out as the first one. The others are disconnected during the call.
Call transferring:
To transfer a call, first pick up the phone set of to which the call is to be transferred, and then hang up the telephone you are just using. As soon as this telephone hangs up, the phone call will be transferred.
Why are 2N® Ping-Pong 1 to 2 and 2N® Ping-Pong 1 to 3 telephone line sockets better than a parallel connection?
- Up to 3 telephones (answering machines, faxes, etc.) can be connected to 1 line.
- When there is a call on one telephone, the other terminals are disconnected.
- Nobody can bug your call.
- A call can be forwarded to other telephones anytime.
- Incoming calls ring on all telephones.
- After any telephone is picked up, the others are disconnected.
The 2N® Ping-Pong 1 to 2 and 1 to 3 telephone sockets can be installed anywhere ...
- Directly on a wall by means of joggles and screws.
- On the electrical wiring box of the original telephone socket.
- In a distribution strip.
The input telephone line can be carried to the connector inside the socket. In case you do not want to interfere with telephone distribution, you are advised to use a connecting cable with an RJ-12 connector, which fits into the small socket inside the box.
To connect separate telephones to the 2N® Ping-Pong 1 to 2 or 1 to 3 telephone socket outputs use cables terminated with RJ-12 connectors.

Which versions are available? How to choose the right one?
The 2N® Ping-Pong 1 to 2 and 1 to 3 distribution telephone sockets use modern relay components as switches. Therefore, the 2N® Ping-Pong 1 to 2 and 1 to 3 distribution telephone sockets are very reliable and resistant against line voltage fluctuation and overvoltage even when used on lines with pulse dialing.
The 2N® Ping-Pong 1 to 2 and 1 to 3 distribution telephone sockets are equipped with well proven thyristor control. We recommend to use this version especially for PBXs with tone dialing (DTMF).
