The simplest installation in the world
Choose a communication system for your lift without unnecessary cabling, which fully complies with strict European Union standards. The reliable 2N® Lift8 communicator is easy to install in any lift. Unlike competing systems, it only requires a two-wire bus to connect communication units in the shaft. This means no worries with installing new cabling.
The 2N® Lift8 not only meets all applicable EU standards, but, thanks to its two-wire bus, it’s easy to install. In addition, it’s also highly modular, so you can choose the communication interface that suits you best and only choose those modules that you will use in the given installation. So you don’t pay for what you don’t need.
4 lifts – basic connection
If you need to connect up to four lifts, you can connect cabin units directly to the central unit, without the need to use additional splitters. All you have to do is allow the four lift version in the system (parameter 994), and the whole system will work thanks to the two-wire bus. This connection option is designed for situations where communication in a shaft is not provided by audio units in the 2N® Lift8 system, but, for example, using additional buttons located above or under the cabin.
The 2N® Lift8 is a practical solution for two-way emergency communication for a group of up to 8 lifts. For simple installation, it uses just a two-wire bus for the lift cabin. It’s a modular system and may be fitted with a GSM/UMTS/PSTN or VoIP module. The system may also be expanded with a series port and set of inputs/outputs that can be used, for instance, for monitoring the lift. Units for the shaft, engine room and cabin go without saying.
Available SW can be used for complete administration/configuration of the 2N® Lift8 system. For local configuration, you can use service tools or DTMF and sets of parameters for system setup.
Software for 2N® Lift8
Software for the 2N® Lift8 enables you to create your own call centre and administer all activities concerning lifts under your management. The whole 2N® Lift8 solution can be administered remotely via a data connection, while all information on individual communicators is stored on the server. System configuration and administration takes place via the 2N® Lift8 ControlPanel; actual operation and administration of test calls takes place at the server. The user receives information on all active units according to set authorisation. Alarm calls can then be received via the 2N® Lift8 Communicator. In addition to telephone numbers, addresses and other information concerning individual lifts, a map showing where each particular lift is located can also be displayed. Software solutions can also be used with preceding lift communicator models, 2N® SingleTalk and 2N® LiftNet.
In response to increasing requests for IP connection when installing lift communicators in modern buildings, the 2N® Lift8’s central unit is now equipped with a VoIP module, which allows simple integration of the emergency communication system directly into an IP network. With the help of the VoIP module, you not only register the central unit with an IP telephone exchange, but also with an internet VoIP service provider using the SIP communications protocol. In addition to this, you can also remotely configure the unit via IP and monitor all 2N® Lift8 I/O module units online. Naturally, there is also a two-wire bus to the shaft for easy, straightforward installation of individual audio announcements.
The 2N® Lift8 Fireman Unit ensures continuous two-way communication between the firefighter staging area, the lift cabin and the machine room pursuant to standard EN81-72. This audio unit is fitted with a triangular switch for activating emergency communication and a button for communication from the 2N® Lift8 Fireman Unit. Naturally, alarm and monitoring / control calls from the lift cabin to the control centre via the 2N® Lift8 communication system and the connection of all units using a twin-wire bus are retained.
2N offers solutions for modernizing elevators and elevator sound systems suitable even for hearing aid users. Connect an induction amplifier from 2N to the 2N® Lift8 or the 2N® Lift1 lift communicator to facilitate communication from the elevator for people with hearing disabilities. Induction loops are supplied with an antenna for installation on the elevator roof to ensure signal coverage throughout the cabin. This gives you a compact solution for emergency communication.
