Induction Loop for Lifts

Emergency communication from lifts for people with hearing disabilities

2N® Induction Loop is an induction loop which is part of the lift cabin audio system. Once connected to an audio source such as a lift communicator, the induction loop transfers sound to a hearing aid with a built-in induction sensor. This allows people with hearing disabilities not only to hear and perceive sounds better, but also to understand speech. 2N® Induction Loop is therefore an essential aid when designing emergency communication from lifts with hearing aid users.

Product highlights:

2N® Induction Loop for lifts complies with the requirements of standard EN 81-70 and can be used with any device emitting an audio signal. It is compatible not only with lift communicators from 2N (for example 2N® Lift8 and 2N® SingleTalk), but also with devices of other manufacturers.

Induction Loop for Lifts

The duty to ensure lift cabin coverage with a signal for hearing aids is defined by standard EN 81-70. Similar to other products for lifts from 2N, the induction loop is fully compliant with the valid lift standards of the European Union. Installation of a 2N® Induction Loop will therefore not only ensure compliance with legislative regulations, but also make emergency lift communication easier for handicapped people with a hearing disability.

The induction loop is marked with an internationally accepted graphic symbol and consists of a built-in amplifier and an integrated antenna. It is capable of covering a lift area of approximately 2 m2, which corresponds to the size of most lift cabins. Furthermore, an external antenna located, for example, in the ceiling of the lift can be connected to the induction loop. 2N® Induction Loop therefore offers a compact, all-in-one solution. This makes it a convenient addition not only to emergency lift communicators from 2N, but also to communicators of other manufacturers.
