2N® NetSpeaker: Audio broadcasting system over IP network
2N TELEKOMUNIKACE launched today the 2N® NetSpeaker. This enables the playing of audio signals over an IP network. It replaces the standard type of public announcement systems with 100V technology, and can be used in schools, stations, airports and factories. The quality of 2N® NetSpeaker is demonstrated by winning final category of the IT Product of the Year 2011 before it was launched.
"The system uses an existing IP infrastructure, so there are no additional costs for cabling. Connection using an IP network allows remote and central configuration of the system. Depending on installation, the customers can save up to 30% in comparison with a traditional Public Announcement System (PAS) solution" says Product Manager Michal Čejka. The major advantage of this system is its degree of flexibility which means that it can basically broadcast anything, wherever from anywhere. The entire system is user friendly and easy to expand.
2N® NetSpeaker is controlled by a software server which controls and manages all the streams from users to the individual groups. "A user profile enables quick selection of the destination for broadcasting. The administrator can also use the profiles to specify user authorization for transmission" explains Michal Čejka. This is achieved by using a simple Console, user friendly application which sends data to the server and then on to the defined destinations.
2N® NetSpeaker is interconnected using an IP network and thanks to this all the components are reachable from remote destinations. For example, it can be used for central management of adverts for a retail chain. The main benefits of 2N® NetSpeaker are that it can be centrally managed from one location, creation of groups, event planning or broadcasting playlists.
"We offer two NetSpeaker options. The Stand alone box version enables connection to any speakers or amplifier. 2N® NetSpeaker serves as a converter from IP stream to an analogue audio signal. The Speaker Set version includes a ceiling mounted speaker and it is connected directly to LAN via CAT 5 cable" says Michal Čejka..
