New features of the door entry system 2N® Helios IP Vario
New firmware 1.10 has been released for the product 2N® Helios IP Vario and introduced many new interesting features. Our IP door entry system is now even more user friendly and more flexible thanks to these functional news.
This brand new feature of the 2N® Helios IP Vario door entry system will be especially appreciated by guests and visitors. You can choose your own user sounds instead of the default status sounds - it can be a louder beep, voice introduction, music or whatever you wish. This feature has been already used at school in Italy.
Advanced switch controls
New switch control features offer more flexibility for your door communication.
The 2N® Helios IP Vario had just a monostable mode. This mode meant that the switch was off by default and the status "on" was active for just a couple of seconds when the lock was open. The new bistable mode means that you can globally set up two stable statuses and change them by a short dial button.
Switch activation by call
The switch in 2N® Helios IP Vario door entry system can be activated by an outbound call. What is the benefit of this feature? If someone called you from a 2N® Helios IP Vario, you previously had to pick the phone up in order for the video transmission to start, allowing you to see the person’s face… Now just the outbound call activates the switch and you can see who is standing in front of the door even before you pick up the phone.
Support of H.263 codec
2N® Helios IP Vario door entry system newly supports video codec H.263. The main advantage is that codec H.263 has a lower computing demand and is typical for older devices.
