Effective entry of RFID cards into access systems
2N is issuing a new driver for the USB card reader working at the 13.56 MHz and 125 kHZ frequencies. This ensures simple entry of RFID cards into access systems, such as 2N IP intercoms and 2N® Access Unit.
Adding RFID cards to access systems is much simpler with the new driver for USB card readers. You no longer need to “run” with the card to the intercom and search for the card’s serial number in log reports. Simply install the driver on a computer with a connected USB card reader and log into the 2N Helios IP intercom or 2N® Access Unit web interface. You can then simply read the card in the system with your USB card reader and assign the appropriate access rights.
The new driver for USB card readers is particularly useful for receptions at companies and office buildings, where access cards are frequently handed out. Whether you use it for new employees requiring everyday access to the building or for one-off visits, the entire process of managing access to the building and individual offices will be fast and simple.
In addition, this driver will be supported by 2N® Access Commander from software version 1.2.0. This version will be released towards the end of September 2015.
