Compatibility of IP Intercoms with Bosch Access Control System

After the successful testing of the 2N® Helios IP Vario, 2N® Helios IP Force and 2N® Helios IP Verso intercoms with video management software (VMS) from Bosch, we verified their compatibility with the Access Control System (ACS) from the same manufacturer.


Thanks to the linkage of a 2N® Helios IP intercom equipped with an RFID card reader and Bosch Access Control System, customers have a unique opportunity to integrate an access and attendance system into one device and so gain many unique advantages. An intercom with a built-in RFID card reader at the entry door will not only make a good impression, but will primarily ensure secure and comfortable access to the building for all a firm’s guests, business partners and employees.

Moreover, after the connection of an intercom and an ACS it will be possible to control access to the building and transfer the identification data from the entry card from the intercom directly to the Bosch control SW. In addition to this, whenever a card is used the camera built into the intercom can take a picture of every person entering the building, and after linking with the Bosch camera system each access to the building can also be recorded. A visitor without an access card can use the standard functions of the intercom to call reception directly, which can simply open the door for him.

The linking of a 2N® Helios IP intercom with Bosch ACS is possible thanks to a Wiegand interface, which is the most common in access systems. It is supported by all 2N® Helios IP intercoms allowing the connection of RFID card readers.
