All 2N VoIP gateways now support the use of Email2SMS and SMPP

The new firmware version 1.14.0 for 2N VoIP gateways offers two useful functions, Email2SMS and SMPP. As of June 2013, you can use these functions with 2N® VoiceBlue MAX, 2N® VoiceBlue Next, 2N® BRI Lite, 2N® BRI Enterprise, 2N® StarGate and 2N® BlueTower gateways.

Email2SMS is a function of the gateway that allows you to simply and clearly send and receive text messages via an email client (for example MS Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.). It can be used, for example, as an effective direct marketing tool to send bulk advertising messages. It allows you to send a single email to up to 100 recipients, who will receive the given advertising message in the form of a text message on their mobile telephone. Moreover, you will see outgoing and incoming messages directly in your email client. The Email2SMS function uses the SMTP/POP3 email protocol, and can be used by up to 200 users with a single gateway.

In addition, to send and receive large volumes of text messages via third party equipment and applications using the 2N gateway, we also offer a standardised SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer) protocol.

The new firmware version is available to download on the 2N website under the aforementioned gateways. For activation, you must buy the appropriate licence for each function.
